Finnoy Gear and Propeller AS

Finnoy® was founded in 1884. From 1902 to 1975, we produced engines with propellers. Our first hydraulic controllable pitch propeller was delivered in 1932. Since 1975 we have specialised in designing and manufacturing of gearboxes and controllable pitch propellers. Our product range is reduction gearboxes, controllable pitch propellers, fixed nozzles, rudder nozzles and remote contols. We are in continuous progress in developing propeller systems and our intention is to be the market leader in this field. Finnøy® is located in modern production halls with modern production machines to meet the demands the market requires.


CP Propeller

The propellers are manufactured in diameters from 650 to 5000 mm. The propeller hub and the blades are manufactured of Ni. Al. Bronze but can also be delivered in stainless steel. The shaft is hollow bored and made of carbon steel but can also be delivered in stainless steel. The pitch setting is done by the push pull rod which transfers the axial force from the servo piston in the gearbox to the pitch setting mechansim in the propeller hub. The propeller types from P18 to P48 are grease lubricated and the propeller types P50 to P125 are oil lubricated.
